OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

 

·          Electrical Connections:  Plug timer into feeder harness. Connect red connector to positive (+) battery terminal, connect blue connector to negative (-) battery terminal.   If you reverse these connections, damage to the timer can occur. You may need to call tech. support.

·          **NOTE** The timer operates in military time.   This means that if you are setting a time after noon, you will add 12 to the hour. (1:00pm is 13:00, 2:00pm is 14:00…)

·          Set current time of day:  Press “Time” button. The number for the hours will flash.   Press “Incr.” Button to increase the flashing number. When you reach the desired hour, press “Set” button.   The minutes part of the clock will be flashing.   Using “Incr.” Button, set correct minutes.   Press “Set” button. The time of day should now be set.

·          Set feeding times (up to eight times per day):   Press “Feed” button. A number between 1-8 should appear. Press “Incr.” button to desired feed number. Press “Set” button. Using “Incr.” button, set desired hour for your feed event. Press “Set”. The minutes will then flash, set desired minutes for your feed event, Press “Set”.   To set additional feedings, press “Feed” button and “Incr.” to get to next feed event number. Press “Set”. Set feed time using the above steps.

·          To cancel a feeding time :   Press “Feed” button.   Use “Incr.” to the feed event to be removed.   Press “Set”.   Using “Incr.”, set hours to “0”, press “Set”. Using “Incr.”, set minutes to “00”. Display should read “--:--“. Press “Set”. These steps must be done in sequence, hours then minutes are you will not get “--:--“.Do NOT leave “0:00” as a setting, this will cause your feeder to run continuously, dumping all the feed.

·          Set duration (number of seconds that the motor spins):   Press both “Feed” and “Time” buttons simultaneously.   Two digits will be flashing.   Press “Incr.” button to increase the number of seconds per feeding.   Press “Set” button.        

·          ** Timer will not feed for less than two seconds, setting a duration below two seconds will result in a missed feeding. **

·          “Test” the operation of timer/feeder:   Press “Test” button.   Wait until the red light stops flashing and goes steady.   While the light is on steady, the motor should run.

·          Removing power from the timer will not cause any feedings to be removed from the timer’s non-volatile memory.   In addition, the clock will continue to run for one or two minutes to give you ample time to change the battery.   You may have to reset the current time of day.
